Neel has recently interviewed for the Basic Physician Trainee role and was successful in being accepted to the Northern Sydney Coastal BPT Network.
He completed his medical degree at Western Sydney University. While a medical student, he held numerous leadership positions on a local and state level, namely President of the WSU Medical Society (2014) and Chair of the NSW Medical Students' Council. He is a co-founder of the popular Pre-Internship (PRINT) Conference, an academic event designed to smoothen the transition to internship and which has been attended by over 2,000 delegates in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to-date.
Neel worked as a Junior Medical Officer with the Hunter New England Local Health District. During his residency (PGY2), he was elected to co-chair the HETI NSW JMO Forum and represent all prevocational trainees in NSW on state and national levels.
He is currently completing a Certificate of Clinical Leadership and Supervision, teaches USyd and UoN medical students, is an advisor to the PRINT Conference & AdvanceMed teams while working full-time as a medical registrar in Sydney. He is a 2017 graduand of the HETI LEAD/LEAP (Medical Leadership Program).
