AdvanceMed takes all reasonable steps to ensure that the personal information we hold is kept secure, accurate and up-to-date. Only the managers of AdvanceMed have access to this information and are required to respect the confidentiality of personal information.
AdvanceMed utilises advanced web security methods to safeguard against unauthorised disclosures of information, including a Managed WordPress host. However, users are reminded that the transfer of information across any media may involve a certain degree of risk and no database is completely secure from unauthorised access.

Who we share your data with
AdvanceMed uses other software as a service product in order to provide a better user experience. Data may be shared securely through these services, which currently include:
- Rasa.io for our regular newsletter
- Continually for chat bot software
- Our email services
- Xero accounting software
- Google for Analytics and Ad Sense delivery
We will only ever provide information about you to 3rd parties with your express permission and on the basis that such 3rd parties also provide options for you to unsubscribe and delete any information collected.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data

Should there ever be a data breach we have back-ups of all data and the ability to rapidly delete or reset any user data, for e.g. passwords, that may be available online and be used to exploit our users.

Yes. We have. The type of data collected by our site and services poses minimal use to you the user through interaction with AdvanceMed. The biggest potential risk in a data breach is likely to be any password you use. For this reason, we strongly suggest that you do not use the same password on this site that you may use for some other purpose where if utilized this password could pose the risk of significant damage, for e.g. banking passwords or social media profile passwords.
Advertising on the Site
This AdvanceMed site does not run itself. It costs money to operate. We can only provide useful content if some of our viewers purchase services from the site and if we are able to run advertisements on the site.
Advertisements are considered part of the content of the site. And as such, it is a breach of the terms of use to use of the site to do anything to alter the layout or content of the site. AdvanceMed applies the same level of privacy care that we extend to our customers and to any faculty member or volunteer who chooses to work with us.
In some circumstances, we may request financial information in order to execute payments for services rendered. Once this information is provided it is transferred to our secure accounting software and deleted from other systems.
