  1. Hi, do you have any comparability outcome data for Malaysian general medicine physician? E.g. do we usually do comparable or not?

      1. Hi Anthony, just did the interview. It went exactly as you said. Lasted aboit 30min. Thank you for that. The panel did not provide any feedback though at the end of the interview. Is it a good sign?

        1. Thanks for the feedback Teddy. Which college did you appear with?
If the interview was short its usually a good sign. They will be reluctant to provide feedback at the end (they will probably be told not to).

  2. Hi Sir, i am a breast, endocrine and head and neck surgeon from general surgery backgrpund. I wish to have asssessment with racs. Im worried if my subspecialist will trouble me as i dont do the whole gen surg (like colorectal, trajma) anymore. I completed 6 yrs of gen surg residency plus 2 yrs surgical oncology in Indonesia, 3 yrs head and necl fellowship in India, 3 yrs head and neck fellowship in Australia and working as a head and neck consultant for 3 years. How is chance? Can i give PTE instead of ielts?

    1. Hi, it is possible to seek recognition in a subspecialty scope of practice. It would need to be recognised as a subspecialty scope in Australia. To be fair. Most general surgeons in Australia are now subspecialised. You can do any of IELTS, TOEFL, PTE or OET. We have a post on this.

  3. Hi, im a physician from Argentina, Latin American, with a degree in Respiratory Medicine, and i can´t find the college who will make the comparability of my papers to the specialist pathway.
Another question is, if i get a comparability status, and i mus be under supervision from 12 to 24 months, they will paid me? or not?.

    1. Hello Salvador
You are looking for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.
You are in luck as this college has a pretty good approach to assessment and most doctors get a favourable outcome.
Once you obtain comparability it is up to you to find a suitable post. And yes. You will get paid in that post.
I have had quite a few South American doctors be successful with the process.
