  1. Hello. I am an IMG from the Philippines with experience practicing general medicine since 2014. I recently passed the AMC MCQ and will start reviewing for the PESCI soon. The process is rather confusing though. When can I acquire AHPRA registration? Is it only after I get a job offer at a GP clinic and pass the PESCI?

  2. Sorry there was a typing error in previous message … I have done MS in obs and gynaecology from India and then I cleared the MRCOG exam .

  3. Hi,
Im an Australian Citizen, completed Obstetrics and Gynaecology in India and would like to work in Australia? I also completed my USMLE steps.
    What can I do sir?

    1. I’d recommend taking my specialist pathway course (see header) and booking a strategy call to discuss.

  4. Thanks a lot for the lucid explanations therein
I want to ask a question, for holders of the Mrcog certificate and who want to work in Australia, under what pathway would they fall into?and how easy would it be to get a job with only the Mrcog qualification and no UK work experience
    Thanks for your anticipated response

    1. Because you do not have the CCT you do not fall under any special pathway. All you have is an exam qualification. So your option would be Standard Pathway.

  5. Hello Anthony,

Thank you very much for the really informative post.
I’m a doctor from Sri Lanka with 2 years of experience in Anesthesia in Sri Lanka and I’m in the first year of registrar training period in Medicine. I am considering to move to Australia mainly due to family reasons. What would be the chances(or is it at all possible) to find a registrar positions under the specialist – top up training pathway ? Basically, I’m considering if it’s possible to do my clinical training for both registrar and senior registrar periods in Australia under the top-up training pathways and then get into the specialist registry in Sri Lanka.
    Thanks in advance!

    1. Hello you are a bit early in your training to be considered eligible for this pathway. The usual test is whether you are 2 or less years from finishing.
